Ronald died in a racing car accident. James & Edna Grimm said he was buried in Uniontown, but the funeral card says he was buried in Fort Lauderdale, FL.4

Former Local Man Killed In Car Race

Ronald Grimm, 29, formerly of Uniontown, has been fatally injured in a stock car race in Florida.

Mr. Grimm is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alva Grimm of 88 W. Main St., Uniontown. The Grimms formerly resided on Lincoln St.

He died Monday in a Hollywood, Fla., hospital of injuries sustained in the auto race two days earlier.

He left Uniontown about 10 years ago and was employed as a lineman for the Florida Power and LIght Co. He lived at 390 N.E. 43rd St., Fort Lauderdale. A 1956 graduate of Uniontown Senior High School, he was a member of Nascar Assn. of Sports Cars and Lauderdale Small Boat Club.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his widow, Beverly; two brothers, Police Sgt. William E. (Whitey), Fort Lauderdale, and James R., Washington, Pa.

Friends are being received in the Jordan-Thomas Funeral Home, 5110 N. Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, where services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Lauderdale Memorial Park.

Grimm, Ronald K. — Age 29 years, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, formerly of Uniontown, died Monday, March 11, 1968 as a result of a racing accident in Hollywood, Florida. Surviving are his wife, Beverly S. Grimm, two brothers, William E. of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and James R. of Washington, Pa.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alva Grimm of Uniontown. Services Friday at 2 p.m. in the Jordan-Thomas Funeral Home, 5110 N. Federal Highway, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Interment in the Lauderdale Memorial Park.
