Death Takes Alva Grimm
Alva Grimm, 68, of 313 Prospect St., Uniontown, died at 6:55 a.m. today in Uniontown Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maye Arnet Grimm; two sons, William E. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and James R. of Washington; five brothers; six grandchildren at Fort Lauderdale; and two grandchildren at Washington.
Friends will be received at the Minerd Funeral Home, from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday; 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. MOnday; and until 2 p.m. Tuesday, the hour of service.

Grimm, Alva--Age 68 years, a resident of 315 Prospect St., Uniontown, passed away in the Uniontown Hospital on Saturday, October 9, 1976 at 6:55 a.m. He was born in St. Mary’s, West Virginia, a son of the late Edward and Emma Locke Grimm. He was a member of the Third United Presbyterian Church, the John Knox Class, was a former first lieutenant of the Isabella Fire Dept., and was a charter member, was a retired asistant mine foreman with the Isabella Mine, national Mine Corporation, for forty years, was a member of B.P.O Elks No. 370, Uniontown. Surviving are his wife, Maye Arnett Grimm; two sons, William E. of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, James R. of Washington, Pa.; six grandchildren in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; two grandchildren in Washington, Pa.; five brothers, Joseph of the state of California, Arliss P., William E., both of Coraopolis, Charles N. of Pittsburgh, Harry of the state of Michigan. Preceding him in death was a son, Ronald K. in 1968, a grandson, James Alan Grimm in 1971, also three brothers, Roy, Everett and Clarence. Friends will be received in the Edward E. Minerd Funeral Home, 196 West Main St., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday until 2 p.m., the hour of service with Rev. Karl W. Bowman, Jr. and Rev. James Adair, officiating. Interment will be in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
