Alton and his mother lived with various family members in PA, probably because of his father’s death; usually with Florence & Benjamin Franklin Wilson. According to Alton’s grandson, he lived with Florence’s family until he entered WWI. He moved to Texas after the war and named his first child for his sister Florence. he did carpentry work most of his life.730
