Aged and Prominent Woman Passes Away

Waynesburg, July 15. — Mrs. Hannah L. Staggers Sheridan, aged 76 years, 11 months and seven days, one of the well known women of western Greene County, died Wednesday night, July 14, at 11:45 o’clock in her home at Holbrook RD. She had been in failing health for the past six months.

Mrs. Sheridan was born in Jackson Township, Aug. 7, 1860, a daughter of Abraham and Rebecca Morris Staggers. She was married in 1900 to John M. Sheridan, who survives. Besides her husband, she leaves one brother, James E. Staggers, of Holbrook RD. She was a member of a family of six children and all her life was spent in Jackson Township. She was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.

The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon, July 17, at 1 o’clock in the Macedonia Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. A. M. Riggs, of Wind Ridge. Burial will be in the Rosemont Cemetery at Rogersville.1080
