Obituary:
“Jacob J. Grim
Bobtown man retired from Nemacolin Mine
Jacob J. Grim, 76, of Bobtown, died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 1993, in Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
He was born May 10, 1916, in Aleppo, a son of Jacob and Emma Elizabeth Cook Grim.
Mr. Grim worked in the Civilian Conservation Corps camps and retired from Nemacolin Mine. He was a member of United Mine Workers, Nemacolin Local 6290.
His wife, Mary Gail Hewitt Grim, died October 10, 1981.
He is survived by five sons, Jacob James Grim Jr. of Mt. Morris, Roger Keith Grim of Davistown, Donald H. Grim of Bobtown, Joseph F. Grim of Birmingham, Ala., and Terry Neil Grim of Newtown; a daughter, Mrs. Ron (Connie) Manchas of Greensboro, R.D.1; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Pecjak of Bobtown and Mrs. Eva Vukovich of Taylortown; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sons, Jerry Neil Grim and Richard Lee Grim; a granddaughter, Lori Ann Lemley; seven brothers, Burns Wesley Wise, Clarence Earl Grim, Reuben Grim, Woodrow Grim, Ernie Grim, Homer Grim and Cecil Grim; and two sisters, Elizabeth Pearl Clark and Ruth Grim.”
