“LISTED IN: Hennen's Choice by Dorthy T. Hennen. William is listed in the H. Hardesty History of Monroe Co. directly below John on map..1880. New county map also lines up with old Hardesty map.; ranges are shown on both, range 4 township 3 section 25 (top right- hand 1/8 ).

William’s birthdate was calculated from death record in Wetzel Co. He was born in Pa. Greene Co., but not sure of township (possibly Wayne Twp.). In the mid to late 1820's he went to Ohio with his father and mother. He met and married Sara Grim at Paden Fork Chapel about 1842-43; lived at first back on the old place where Elizabeth, Margaret, Amanda, Joseph, James, and John were born. About 1854 they moved to Paden Fork where Malvina, Martha, Salem and William were born. Around 1865 they moved back to Ohio (Greene Twp.) and Jacob, Alice and David were born there. William and Sara are burried in the Evans Cemetery on Paden Fork. 13 Jan 1901. By the Census records it looks as if William (when he moved back to Monroe) might have lived slightly down the road from the old property; there is another Price property shown on the map in Hardesty's History, 1880.

In 1993 we went and found the Evans Cem. It’s on the top end of a knoll in trees, partially bounded by barbwire (its also pasture); about a third of the stones are knocked over or destroyed. William and Sara's markers are gone, but were recorded back in the 50's-60's.

Found out from Sam Price that William was in Ohio when he died and that his body was brought back over to P.C. across the frozen Ohio river. Also that there was possibly a picture taken at the funeral, of William.”552
