Jacob D. was still listed in census for 1880 at the Benwood property, he married Margaret Tenley in 1899. From family he moved to Jacksons Ridge, and some of the children were born there. (Story has it first to Jacksons Ridge and then to Paden City up around what was called Dogtown and then to First Ave. north. This is when the house burned down, then to another 1st Ave. house then to Sardis, across the river.) Jacob worked for the Carter Iron Company (Engineer) as listed in the time sheets. Also listed was Uncle Ronald, both being 1919 as temporary. Jacob died that year. Margaret (Mamo) raised the family from then on, moving between Sardis and Paden City. In the late 50's she came to live with us in Pittsburgh till she went to the nursing home in Sistersville where she died in 1960.
