“Bernice L. Grim
Bernice L. Grim, 97, of Belpre, left this life to go to a much better place. She passed away at the Woman’s Home in Marietta on Feb. 7, 2006.
She was born on Feb. 7, 1909, in Athens County. She was the daughter of the late Arnold and Sylvia Lonas.
She was survived by three daughters, Helen Beall of Hanoverton, Ohio, Donna Mead of Lorena, Texas, and Phyllis Cline of Belpre; two sons, Raymond Richard and Lorain Grim of Belpre and Russell and Ruth Grim of Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Grim of Gainesville, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Grim in 1987; a son, Charles Grim Jr.; a grandson, Brian Grim; a great-granddaughter, Cynthia Mirisciotta; four sisters; and two brothers.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, with the Rev. Charles Martindell officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family would like donations to be made to the Woman’s Home in Marietta to make a flower garden in her memory. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the Woman’s Home for the compassion and care they gave to Bernice.
