Obituary
“Andy Frank Kassabaum, son of the late Henry and Minnie Schmidt Kassabaum, was born on February 5, 1888, in Mine La Motte, Mo., and passed away at this home on Farmington, Mo., Route One, April 28, 1950, at the age of 62 years, 2 months and 23 days.
On June 17, 1915, he was united in marriage to Donia Burch, of Farmington Route One.
He is survived by his wife, Donia, of Farmington Route One; two sons, Karl, of Farmington, and Roy, of Jefferson City, Mo.; two daughters-in-law, two grandchildren, Mary June of Farmington and Roy Francis, Jr., of Jefferson City. He leaves the following brothers and sisters; Chris and Herman, of Doe Run; Louise (Mrs. William) Klob, of St. Louis, (Mrs. Fred) Klob, of Farmington, and Minnie (Mrs. James) McLaren, of Pacific, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. He also leaves one aunt, Hannah Kerstein, and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Early in life he was baptized in the Lutheran Church at Mine La Motte, Mo.
As a young man, he began work with the St. Joseph Lead Company and had thirty-nine years service with them. Recently he received his tweinty-five year service pin.
He was a resident of St. Francois County his entire life, living in or near Farmington.
Over four years ago he suffered a heart condition and was in failing health continuously until death. The last seven months he was in a serious condiditon.
His body lay in state in the home until it was removed to the Careleton Memorial Church Sunday afternoon at 2:30. Services were conducted by Rev. Elbert C. Cole. The Miller FUneral Home was in charge and interment was in the K. of P. Cemetery at Farmington.”
