Obituary:
“Roy F. Kassabaum of Hermann, Missouri died May 18, 1982 at the Hermann Area District Hospital in Hermann, Mo., at the age of 57 years and 17 days. He was born May 1, 1925 in Flat River, Missouri to the late Andrew Kassabaum and Fedonia Burch Kassabaum.
He is survived by his mother, Fredonia Burch Kassabaum of Farmington, his wife, Florence Engelbrecht Kassabaum of Hermann, Mo., one son David L. Kassabaum, Hermann, Mol, one borhter [sic] Karl Kassabaum of Farmington. He was preceded in death by two sons, Mark and Roy F. Jr.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 21 at the St. Paul’s U.C. of C., in Hermann, Mo., with the Rev. James Elliott officiating. Interment was in the Hermann Cemetery in Hermann, Mo.
Mr. Kassabaum was a life member of V.F.W. Post 4182 of Hermann, Mo., F.O.E. Aerie 1328 Eagles, hermann Masonic Lodge #123 A.F. and A.M. and Hermann Rod and Gun Club. He was a member of the St. Paul’s U.C. of C. of Hermann, Mo.
Mr. Kassabaum was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, World War II and was a production expediter for McDonald-Douglas.”1298
