In 1900 Laura said she had 1 child, none living, but Thomas Simer’s obituary said a son, Callie, survived him. He was an adopted son, and may have been the natural son of James and Almeda O’Neal, who were enumerated in 1900 Calhoun, with a son, Caldro, b. 1898.”431

Burl, Charles, and Johnny were/are Burl, Charles, and John Simers, children of Carl “Callie” Simers, and grandchildren of Thomas W. Simers.
