Obituary:
“Mildred O. “Midge” McGlumphy, 95, of Wind Ridge, PA, died 10:30 am Friday, February 26, 1999, in the Beverly Health Care Center, Waynesburg.
She was born May 24, 1903, in Richhill Township, a daughter of Armstrong Grim and Elizabeth Jennings Nelson. She resided in Richhill Township and Wind Ridge areas all her life.
Mrs. McGlumphy was a member of Fairview United Methodist church, Wind Ridge, and was a 1924 Graduate of Richhill Township, Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, a member of Wind Ridge Missionary Society and the Ross Hill Garden Club.
Mrs. McGlumphy served as a secretary and treasurer of the Fairview Cemetery Board for more than 50 years, was a volunteer at the Jacktown Fair for several years and during World War II was a volunteer with the Ambulance Corps in Wind Ridge.
She and her husband were co-owners and operators of McGlumphy & Son gasoline and tire recapping in WInd Ridge for more than 30 years prior to her closing the business and retiring in 1968.
On June 21, 1924, she married Harley Ray McBlumphy, who died in 1967.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sisters, Hazel Nelson Ruth and Rae Nelson Staggers.
She was the last of her immediate family.

Calvin Linderman officiating. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Richhill Township, PA.”
