“Jobe Grimm Jr.
WWII vet was retired Alltel construction supervisor
Jobe "Blackie" Grimm Jr., 79, of Waynesburg, died Monday, December 26, 2005, in his home, surrounded by his grandchildren.
He was born November 8, 1926, in Waynesburg, a son of Jobe Grimm Sr. and Hettie Lou McDonald Grimm.
Mr. Grimm was a lifelong resident of the Waynesburg area.
He retired as a construction supervisor for Alltel and operated a family farm on Dutch Run.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Grimm was a former member of Loyal Order of Moose, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion, all of Waynesburg.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
On November 12, 1948, he married Betty June Eisiminger, who died April 11, 2005.
Surviving are a son, Jack A. Grimm and wife Lisa of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; five grandchildren, Kathy Brewer, Connie Jo Keller, Kelley Tedrow, Chad Fox and Jobie Donn Wood; 11 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Piatt of Marietta, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a daughter, Karen Sue Fox; a son, Jay Allen Grimm; and a brother, Howard Grimm.
Private services are under the direction of Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, Chuck Behm, director.”

According to Stanley Grimm, Jobe was known simply as “Junior”, and it was Jobe’s brother, Howard who was known as “Blackie.”1446
