From his obituary:
“Jobe Grimm, Sr., 80, of R.D. 3, Waynesburg (Morning Side) died Saturday, Jan. 7 at 3:10 p.m. in Greene County Memorial Hospital after an illness of three months.
He was born Sept. 29, 1897 in Jackson Twp., son of the late Lawrence and Emma Kughn Grimm. He was married to Lou Hettie McDonald Grimm, who died Aug. 24, 1968.
In early life he was a rig builder and later was employed by the Home Gas Co. of Waynesburg. Following his retirement he was employed by the Waynesburg Borough Park Commission. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Waynesburg.
Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Sam (Helen) Piatt of Marietta, Ohio; two sons, Howard of Charleroi, R.D. 1 and Jobe Jr. of Waynesburg, R.D. 2; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was the last of his family.”
