MABEL E. LANTZ, 97, of Strasburg, OH, formerly of Weirton, WV passed away Friday August 2, 2019 at Bethany Nursing Home in Canton, OH.
She was born November 6, 1921 in Tyler County, WV, daughter of the late Manuel K. and Maude Myers Ash. She is also preceded in death by her husband Ralph W. Lantz; brothers, Paul and Gail Ash; sisters, Orvia Ash, Pearl Henthorn, and Mayme Visnic.
Mabel is a member of Weirton Chapter No. 147 O.E.S. and a former member of Weirton Heights Free Methodist Church.
She is survived by daughter, Vaughn M. Lucas (Steve) of Evans City, PA; sons, Pastor Randy W. Lantz (Luanna) of Blountsville, TN, and K. James Lantz (Carla) of Strasburg, OH; 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday August 7, 2019 from 4:00 until the time of service at 6:00, at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV with Pastor Randy W. Lantz presiding. Inurnment will take place at Beechwood Cemetery, Alma, WV at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
