Obituary:
“Glenn Staggers, 80, of 538 High Street, Brownsville, died at 11:23 A.M. Wednesday, November 16, 1983, in the home of his son, Glenn Lee Staggers, 416 Hummel Street, Brownsville.
He was born December 28, 1902, in Bristoria, Greene County, the son of Thomas and Mattie Coutz Staggers.
Mr. Staggers was employed by West Penn Power Co., for 45 years until his retirement. He was a member of the First United Methodist church of Brownsville, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Lodge No. 51 of Brownville, the Hopewell Grange and the South Brownsville Volunteer Fire Department.
His wife, Myrtle Olive McDonough Staggers, died in 1978. Also deceased are five brothers, William, John, Bert, Dewey and Stacy Staggers.
Surviving in addition to his son are two brothers, Oakie Staggers of Hiller and milo Staggers of West Finley, one sister, Imogene Tustin of McMurray; two grandsons, Gary Staggers of Hiller and Jim Staggers of Belle Vernon, and three great-grandchildren.

Friends of Glenn Staggers of 538 High Street, Brownsville, who died Wednesday, November 16, 1983, will be received from 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday, and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Friday in the J. W. Kisinger Funeral Home, 515 Front Street Brownsville, where services will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, November 19, with the Rev. Richard B. Snyder, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Brownsville, officiating. Burial in Rosemont Cemetery, Rogersville. Memorial services will be conductec in the funeral home at 7:30 P.M. Friday by the Brownsville Odd Fellows Lodge No. 51 and at 8 P.M. Friday by the South Brownsville Volunteer Fire Department.”
