Obituary:
“Washington--Audrey C. Staggers, 77, of RD 1, Graysville died at 12:20 P.M. Monday, Nov. 5, 1984, at the Washington Hospital after a long illness.
Born April 16, 1907, in Graysville, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Osa McClelland Wells. She married Oakie W. (Bill) Staggers on Oct. 7, 1929.
Mrs. Staggers spent her entire life in the Graysville area and was a graduate of the Richhill Township High School. She was an auditor in Gray Township and a member of the Unity Presbyterian Church and its auxiliary.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Mrs. Franklin (Shirley) Schlanz of RD 1, Graysville; a sister, Mrs. Zelma Mitchell of Graysville; a niece, Martha Bissett, and nephew, Edward Mitchell, both of Graysville.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.”192

“Friends of Audrey C. Staggers, 77, of RD 1, Graysville, who died Monday, Nov. 5, 1984, will be received at the Robert L. Lantz Funeral Home of Rogersville from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. [sic] 8. Interment will follow services in the Rosemont Cemetery. The family requests donations be made to the Unity Presbyterian Church.”192
