“Kenneth H. Grim
58-year memeber of New Freeport Fire Department
Kenneth H. Grim, 75, of New Freeport, died unexpectedly Monday, January 28, 2002, in his residence.
He was born December 26, 1926, in New Freeport, a son of Walter and Edith Hoy Grim.
Mr. Grim retired in 1994 from Greenridge Oil Co. He also was a township supervisor.
He was a member of Grandview United Methodist Church in Garrison and New Freeport Volunteer Fire Department for 58 years.
Mr. Grim was a former employee of Soles Exxon and worked with the United Emergency Unit for 17 years.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Grim lived his entire life in the New Freeport area.
On October 19, 1973, he married Carrol Wise, who survives.
Also surviving are four stepdaughters, Darlene Barnhart of New Freeport, Diane Bartrug of Hundred, W. Va., Lorie Hildreth of Wind Ridge and Helen Fox of Freedom; a daughter, Becky Pettit of Aleppo; a son, Mark Grim of Aleppo; two sisters, Wilma Lemmon of Daisytown and Gladys Gaines of New Freeport; three brothers, Harold Grim of Killbuck, N.Y., Karl Grim of Hundred and Robert Grim of Columbus, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Wilford and Wayne Grim.”

“Grim - Friends of Kenneth H. Grim of New Freeport, who died Monday, January 28, 2002, will be received from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Tennant Funeral Home, Hundred, W. Va., where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, January 31, with the Rev. Erwin “Woody” Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Bank Cemetery, near Pine Bank. Condolences may be sent to the family at
