Obituary, The Morning Herald-The Evening Standard (Uniontown, PA), January 14, 1978:
“Martin, Ewing F. — Age 74 years, of Perryopolis R.D. 2, died Thursday, January 12, 1978, at 8:15 p.m. in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born July 29, 1903, in Perry Township, son of the late William and Lena Wallace Martin. He was a member of the Fundamental Bible Church of Perryopolis. He was a retired employee of the U.S. Steel Corp., National Tube Works. He is survived by his wife, Nellie; one son, Glenn Martin Sr. of Perryopolis R.D.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Emerson Martin of Perryopolis R.D. 2. He was preceded in death by two sons and one daughter, Eugene, Fredrick and Doris. Friends are being received in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, Perryopolis, Pa., today from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday until 2 p.m. the hour of service. Rev. Samuel Harper and Pastor Preston Dugre will officiate. Interment in Mt. Washington Cemetery.”
