Birthdate is as found in family Bible and death certificate. Tombstone gives Sep. 19 (vs. 18), 1848 as birthdate.1691

Francis apparently had two children, Dora Elizabeth (or Elizabeth Dora), and Franklin M. Kiger who were not the children of Francis and Lucy (Fonner) Kiger. Their mother is unknown. Information on the children of Francis Kiger came from notes made by Huldah Kiger Dukate and included in her Bible.1691
