Obituary:
“Miss Lulu D. Whipkey, 80, of Wind Ridge, died after a long illness at 1 PM Monday, Feb. 17, 1969, in the Greene County Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 13, 1888, in Richhill Township, the daughter of the late David and Hettie Grim Whipkey.
She was a member of the Long Run Church of God.
Surviving are one brother, Noel Whipkey, of Wind Ridge, three sisters; Mrs. Ella Loar, of Waynesburg; Mrs. Mary McCullough, of Sycamore, RD 1, and Mrs. Anna Caldwell, of Triadelphia, W. Va., and several nieces and nephews.
One sister, Mildred Staggers, is deceased.
Funeral services were held Thursday with burial in Centennial Cemetery.”
