Obituary (from Richard Smith):
“Cox, Clarence R., 77, of 23 Highland Road, Clearview, died Sunday in Wheeling Hospital. He was a retired electrician-lineman of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., Beech Bottom plant, a retired owner of the former Warwood Radio Service, and a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Wheeling. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Myrtle Rawson Cox. Surviving are his wife, Magdalene C. Feenerty Cox; two sons Clarence R. Jr. of Wheeling and Gerald R. of Short Creek; a daughter, Mrs. William (Carolyn) Quinn Jr. of Wiloughby, Ohio; a sister, Helen Whiteman of Clearview; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren. Friends received 7-9 P.M. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Tuesday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Wheeling. Interment in Park View Memorial Gardens, Wheeling. Memorial contributions may be made to Corpus Christi Catholic Church building fund. Vigil services at 8 P.M. Tuesday.”
