Obituary from Richard Smith:
“Long, Norman D., 71, of 600 Bow Str. Wheeling, died Friday at Ohio Valley General Hospital. He was the owner and operator of Long's Trailer Court and a retired iron worker, Local 549. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Rawson Long on Jan. 6, 1972. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Lula Kitchen of West Pittston, Pa.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Margaret Smith of Wheeling and Mrs. Delores Bosold of Newcomerstown, Ohio; two step sons, John E. Smith and Gay H. Smith, both of Wheeling. Friends received at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St., Wheeling, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m.. Interment in Parkview Memorial Gardens, Wheeling, with graveside services conducted by Ohio Lodge No. 1, AF&AM, Wheeling.”
