Misc. Notes
Notes from Richard Smith:
Gay was the loner who didn't stay around the home area. His mother used to tell stories about how he and his brother John would board coal trains and throw the coal to the ground. This was during the Great Depression when money was scarce. He was married twice and lived in New Orleans, LA, where his children now live. Gay died of lung cancer. Like his father, he worked on the Ohio River.
