Thelma S. Cooper

McConnelsville — Thelms S. Cooper, 86, of 6333 Cooper Lane died Wednesday (Aug. 6, 1997) at Mark Rest Center in McConnelsville.

She was born Oct. 5, 1910, in Doddridge County, W. Va., to Frank and Ruey Taylor Pernell. She had attended Cornerstone Full Gospel Church in Duncan Falls.

She is survived by her husband, Graham Cooper, whom she married April 12, 1934; one son, Karlen Cooper and his wife, Angie, of McConnelsville; one daughter, Jeanne Morton and her husband, Paul, of Phoenix, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Tori Allen, Staci Matheny and Chad Cooper, all of McConnelsville, and Lynette Ellis and Lori Rigler, both of Arizona; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly. Burial is in Beverly Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
