Helen L. Grimm, 84, of Parkersburg passed away Aug. 17, 2006, at her residence.

She was born April 19, 1922, in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late James R. and Freda Burnfield. Helen had previously worked at St. Joseph's Hospital and at Thrift Drug Store. She enjoyed taking care of children and was looked upon as a mother and grandmother by many. Helen was a former member of the Beechwood Presbyterian Church and she will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving is her husband of 56 years, Robert L. Grimm; one daughter, Bobette Grimm of Parkersburg; one son, James Hannaman of Beckley; one granddaughter, Chana Fraser of Parkersburg; two sisters, Mary (Nile) Eddy and Betty Grimm, both of Parkersburg; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and several special children that she cared for and were a big part of her life.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Green St., Parkersburg, with Pastor Joe Ward officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
