Obituary, found on Findagrave.com:

BERNARD GALEN LOCKE, Sr., 82, formerly of East Liverpool, died at 2:50 a.m. Sunday, November 18, 2007, at Hope Hospice, Bonita Springs, following a brief illness. Bernie was born in East Liverpool on December 16, 1924, the fifth son of the late James A. Locke, Sr. and Ital Hill Locke.

He had been employed by Crucible Steel, American Vitrified, Harker China and Hall China and retired in 1985 from General Motors in Lordstown where he worked as a welder, assembler and in quality control for 28 years. While in East Liverpool, he was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church where he was a Scout Master for many years, but after moving to Estero, FL, following retirement, he became a member of the Congregational Church of Naples, where he served as usher and in the church Thrift Shop. He was presently a member of the Estero Baptist Church. Bernie served as Noble Grand of the Odd Fellows Lodge of Canfield, OH.

While living in North Jackson prior to moving to Estero, he served as Assistant Scout Master with the Boy Scout troop of the Austintown Presbyterian Church for many years. His hobby of woodcarving provided pleasure and satisfaction during his life. In addition to delightful wood flowers, his "signature design" is that of a high-topped shoe, complete with out-curving tongue, blackened heel and turned up toe.

Preceding him in death are an infant son, Richard Paul Locke, a sister, Thelma Locke, and four brothers: Harold, James, Jr., Wayne and Earl Locke.
