Her first name comes from the marriage record of her son, John Darnell, and Isabella Kincaid.

Her last name comes from a note on Findagrave.com attached to John Darnell’s grave.

Some people, with no sources cited, say she was born in 1749, Greene Twp., Greene Co., PA, and died in 1788, Charles Co., MD. That date is before son Samuel’s birth, assuming she was Samuel’s mother. More research needs to be done to confirm anything except her first name.

Another researcher says she was the daughter of Medad Lewis. Chloe was born in 1749 in Southington, CT and married in 1766 in Greene Co., PA. Again, no sources cited.

Another researcher says she was the daughter of Henry Lewis (b. 1699, Christ Church Parish, Middlesex Co., VA; d. Nov 2, 1785, Spotsylvania, Spotsylvania Co., VA) and Martha Kendall (b. 1710, St. George Parish, Spotsylvania Co., VA; d. before 1764, St. George, Spotsylvania, VA). They marreid around 1730 in Spotsylvania.
