The only evidence I can find for him is in the 1930 Census is when he was living in East Franklin, Armstrong Co., PA with his brother Charles Grimm (Charles Norman Grimm, Sr.), and is identified as a brother of Charles. He was twelve years old and born in WV.

Could this actually be Lillian (Acklin) Grimm’s brother, Griffith? The age would be about right, although he was born in PA.
