Edward and Emma lived on a houseboat for many years. His official residence at time of death was Toronto, Jefferson Co., OH.
2In a letter to Don and Evelyn Grimm, ca. 1975, Marvel Broadbent Grimm (wife of Emery Winfield Grimm) wrote that Edward and Emma had seven sons, not counting Roy. They were: Arless, Clarence, Charles N., Alva, Harry, Elmer, and Melvin. One died when a baby; that was Melvin. “Their last baby was a girl but didn’t live.” This does not account for the mysterious Glenn, who was living with Charles in 1930, and whose relationship to Charles was “brother.”
