Eugene H. Lewis, Sr., 81, of Parkersburg died May 19, 2005 at the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. He was born April 26, 1924 in Braxton County, WV a son of the late Hayward Remus Lewis and Margret Province. He worked for over 40 years in the auto body repair business for local companies before owning and operating Gene and Belle's Body Shop.

He is survived by his wife Lulu Belle Higgins Lewis; six children Bonita J. Lowe and husband Timothy of Belpre, Eugena Belle Lockhart and husband Linden of Belleville, Eugene H. Lewis, Jr. and wife Tabitha of New Matamoris, OH, Lee Myers of Vienna, Eleanor Mae Silket of Parkersburg, Garry Remus Lewis of Walker; fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his stepfather Earnest Province, daughter Beverly Jean Malcome and brother Ronald Hayward Lewis.

Services will be Saturday 1:00 pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor John Ruth officiating.

Burial will follow at I.O.O.F Cemetery, St. Marys, WV.
