“Genevieve was the daughter of Danish immigrants.

She has joined her husband Paul, her daughter Diana, and her loving Danish relatives in Heaven.

Genevieve was an old-time Fresno raisin farmer who always had fresh tomatoes on her kitchen windowsill. She liked to make orange juice from the best orange tree in Fresno County, and always had time to make pancakes or peanut butter cookies for her grandchildren. We will never forget the pecan pies.

She loved to play cards; particularily Gin 13 with Paul and Kathryn.

Genevieve received loving care from Hospice. In her final days she was surrounded by her daughter, Verna Steinhauer and Verna's spouse Bob; as well as her adoring grandchildren, Cheryl and Murphy Schroeder, Kevin and Lisa Ann Gandy, Erik Steinhauer, Lisa Gandy and Annie Steinhauer; her great-grandchildren, Tony, Christina and Jennifer Schroeder and Ty Gandy; and her cousin, Susan Stiltz.

She leaves cousins, Phyllis McNary and Leroy Pedersen.

A joint Graveside Service for Paul and Genevieve will be held at Washington Colony Cemetery on Saturay, March 25, 2006, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of their lives at the United Presbyterian Church in Easton at 12:00 p.m.

Lunch will be provided following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Presbyterian Church, 5895 Elm Ave., Fresno, CA 93706.”
