William Ralph Lippencott, 75, of 295 South Morris Street, Waynesburg, died at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, 1986, in West Virginia Univesity Hospital, Morgantown, W. Va., following a long illness.

He was born November 4, 1910, in Ruff Creek, a son of William Bartley and Edna Miller Lippencott. Mr. Lippencott lived his entire life in the Waynesburg area. He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Ruff Creek.

He was a construction worker and crane operator for various contractors in the tri-state area.

He was a member of District 4 of the United Mine Workers, the Loyal Order of he Moore, Lodge No. 461, the Waynesburg Eagles Lodge, Aerie No. 598 and the James Farrell American Legion Post No. 330. He was a social member of the VFW Post No. 4793.

His first wife, Allene Basinger Lippencott, is deceased.

Surviving are his second wife, Alice Knight Lippencott; two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Sarah) Hartzell of Madison, Ohio, and Mrs. Shirley Davis of Waynesburg R. D. 3; a son, William Lippencott of Rockville, Ill.; a stepson, Gary Knight of Waynesburg; a brother, Ersheal L. Lippencott of Waynesburg R. D. 5; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a son, Keith Lippencott; a grandson, Randall Davis; and a sister, Dorothy Lippencott.
