The Benjamin School was located on the southwest corner of N. Fowlerville Road and Sherwood Road. For a while, it was used as a historical education center by the elementary schools in Fowlerville, but eventually the district decided to dispose of it. At one time a group of people were trying to save and restore it, but that didn't work out. The township decided it needed to be removed, and it was destroyed around 2004.
