Charles was alive in 1910. He was enumerated with his son-in-law and daughter, Edward E. Grim & Emma M. Grim.

He was buried in Nine Mile Cemetery, presumably in Pleasants Co., WV. His son, W. L. Locke, was the informant for the death certificate. Unfortunately his death certificate does not name his parents.
