In the 1900 Ritchie Co., WV Census Barbary (Grim) Darnell says she had seven children and seven are living.57

From her obituary:
“At her home at Smithburg, Monday March 25, 1929, Mrs. Eliza Grim Darnell, died aged upward of seventy years. She was the wife of Zack Darnell and a daughter of Jess and Mary Fordyce Grim of Bearsville.
She is survived by one full brother, Dr. Alva Grim of St. Marys and by half brother, Alf Grim of Middlebourne and John Grim on New Cumberland and by half sisters, Mrs. C. M. Swan of this place, Mrs. George Myers of Alma, Mrs. Celia McDougal of Bearsville. Her husband and a number of grown children survive her.
The remains wer laid to rest Wednesday at Smithburg.”57
