Harriet R. Locke
Died June 16, 1986
Harriet R. Locke, 98, of St. Marys, died Monday afternoon at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Athens, Ohio.
She was a daughter of the late Daniel and Nancy Eddy Morris and was born in Pleasants County. She formerly taught school in Pleasants and Tyler COunties and was a member of the St. Marys United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Keith (Anna Mary) Thacker of St. Marys; one son, Allen Locke of Athens, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Jean Locke, also of Athens; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and several nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Brady, in 1963; sisters, Bessie Dearth, Belle Morris, Ida Pearl Seckman, and brothers, William, Boyd, and Eliah Morris.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 pm Wednesday in the St. Marys United Methodist Church chapel . The Rev. Maurice Miller and Dr. Richard Crickard officiated. Burial was in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. The Jagers and Son Funeral Home in Athens was in charge of arrangements.365
