Marriage article, unknown paper, probably St. Marys Oracle, 1915:

Commencement week wound up with the marriage of the young lady who attended the highest graduating honors - Miss Mae Bell Stanley.

While the affair was not unexpected, yet nobody outside of those intimately concerned imagined that it would take place quite so soon.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. John Stanley, very popular and talented, having been the last winter editor of the High School journal, The Pageant, and having materially assisted her literary society in winning honors.

The groom is the second son of Dr. and Mrs. A. S. Grimm of this city, a graduate of Cornell University, and at present employed as civil engineer for the electric company at Fairmont, and a young man of very pleasant personality.

The wedding took place at the home of the bride's mother on Dewey Avenue, this city, at 11:30 Friday night, May 28, after the closing of the graduating exercises. The officiating minister was Rev. B.M. Mitchell of the Methodist Protestant Church. The bride was attired in white crepe-de-chine, and carried a bouquet of white rose buds on her arm. Standing with the bride and groom during the ceremony were Dr. and Mrs. Claude E. Grimm, Miss Lucille Stanley and Mr. Beryl Dotson, and Miss Ruth Sellers and Mr. Homer Grimm.

There were present Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Stanley and son, Julian, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Guth, Dr. and Mrs. A.S. Grimm, Mrs. Dollie Stanley and son, George, Mrs. John R. Stanley and daughter Martha and son Robert.

The newly married couple left on the 7:36 train the following morning for Fairmont, where they will begin light housekeeping.
