Kenneth served in the US Army between 1951-52. He was in Korea and won a Silver Star. He and brother Russell were able to meet during their time in Korea.

Kenneth M. Grim
Retired Graysville postal carrier
Kenneth M. Grim, 69, of Wind Ridge R.D. 1, died at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, August 31, 1999, in his home. He had been ill since November 1998.
He was born July 31, 1930, in WInd Ridge, a son of Josie Olive Barnhart Grim Shaw of Graysville and the late Robert Lincoln Grim.
Mr. Grim was a resident of the Wind Ridge and Richhill Township areas all his life.
He was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church and a 1948 graduate of Richhill High School.
Mr. Grim was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, serving as a corporal with the 1745 Co. K, 7th Infantry Regiment. He received the Korean Service Medal with two bronze stars, U.N. Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Combat Infantry Badge.
He was a former employee of Pittsburgh Pipe Cleaning Co. and was last employed as a rural route carrier at Graysville Post Office for 32 years prior to his March 1994 retirement.
Mr. Grim was a life member of the National Rifle Association and a charter member of Graysville Volunteer Fire Department.
He enjoyed playing cards with family friends, Jean and Ralph Jackson.
On October 5, 1957, he married Mary Lou Mitchell, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Robert C. Grim of Claysville and Douglas E. Grim of Wind Ridge; a daughter, Deborah S. Dahlberg of Spring, Texas; three brothers, Jerry Grim of Graysville, Russell Grim of Wind Ridge and Lanny Grim of Claysville R.D. 1; a sister, Carol Stein of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren, Amanda, Bryan and Anthony Phillips and Callie and Andrew Grim.”
