Obituary:
“Miss Sudie E. Staggers, 62 years, 11 months and 28 days, a lifelong resident of Jackson Township, died at 11:45 P.M. Friday Feb. 23, 1951, at her home near Bristoria. Miss Staggers had been an invalid for the past eight years.
Born Feb. 25, 1988, she was a daughter of the late J. E. Staggers and Amanda McVay Staggers, and spent all her life on the homestead where she died.
She was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.
Surviving are three brothers and two sisters: East Staggers, near Bristoria; Randolph Staggers, Uniontown; A. D. Staggers, Mrs. Fannie Strosnider and Mrs. Della Jones, all of Holbrook, RD. She also leaves a number of nieces and nephews, among them Miss Fern Staggers, a student at Waynesburg High School, whom she had reared from infancy. [daughter of Arthur Denny Staggers]

Funeral services for Miss Sudie E. Staggers of Jackson Township, who died Friday night Feb. 23, 1951, will be held at her late home near Bristoria at 2 P.M. Monday, Feb. 26, with the Rev. T. L. Rich, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Waynesburg, in charge. Burial will be in the Staggers Cemetery. Friends received at the late home at any time. Garrison Funeral Home in charge.”1285
