Obituary (1977 written on obit):
“Minnie Doughty, 89, Farmington, was born Sept. 2, 1888, in Farmington and died Dec. 6 at Presbyterian Homelife. She was a daughter of the late Perry and Emma Mund Burch. Her husband, Walter Doughty, preceded her in death.
Surviving are: a daughter, Glenda (Mrs. Ervin) Miller, Farmington; four sons, Melbourne Doughty, Glenwood Doughty, Farmington, Alfred Doughty, Pinckneyville, Ill., and Donald Doughty, Potosi; three sisters, Mrs. Donnna Kassabaum, Mrs. Rose Bayles [sic], and Mrs. Wilma Thompson, Farmington; and a brother, J. Wesley Burch, Farmington.
Mrs. Doughty will be in state at 2 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home.
Chapel services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday wit the Rev. Dr. G. Maxell Teeter officiating.
Interment will be at the Knights of Pythias Cemtery.
