Obituary, Waynesburg Democrat Messenger, Sep. 10, 1958, p. 4:
“A. Perry Gillogly, 82, retired farmer, died Monday, September 8, 1958 at Waynesburg from burns suffered August 22 in his home. Born in Jackson Township April 5, 1876 the son of A. J. and Eliza Grim Gillogly. Member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Married first Jennie Lippencott, deceased. Then married 2nd Myrtle Milliken. Survived by a son, Andrew J. Gillogly of Holbrook; 5 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. Services Wednesday at the Lantz Funeral Home in Rogersville, Rev. Norman C. Hunt officiating. Burial in Rosemont Cemetery.”

“A. Perry Gillogly, aged 82 years, of Holbrook, R. D. 1, died at 2:30 a. m. Monday, September 8, 1958, in Greene County Memorial Hospital, of burns suffered August 22, at his home.
Mr. Gillogly, a lifelong resident of Jackson Township and a prominent farmer and livestock dealer, was born April 5, 1876, a son of the late A. J. and Eliza Grimm Gillogly.
He was the husband of Mrs. Myrtle Milliken Gillogly, who survives. His first wife, Mrs. Jennie Lippencott Gillogly, is deceased.
Mr. Gillogly was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church, in Jackson Township, and of Harvey’s Grange no. 1444.
Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Andrew J. Gillogly, of Holbrook, R. D. 1; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Gillogly was the last of his family. Four sisters and two brothers are deceased.”
