Obituary:
“Beech Bottom — Goerge L. Grim, 91 of 25 Fourth St., died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, at home. He retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.
He was born Sept. 19, 1907, in Green County, Pa., a son of the late Goerge L and Martha Ellen Courtwright Grim. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Fern Barnhart Grim, on Oct. 20, 1987.
He was a member of the Beech Bottom Community Christian Church and was a World War II Navy veteran.
Surviving are a son, Goerge L. of Youngstown; two daughters Mrs. Vaughn (Martha) Augustine of Beech Bottom, and Carol Burkett of Avella; one sister, Francis Grim of Waynesburg, Pa.; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Chambers Funeral Home, 1030 Main St., Wellsburg, where services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, with Dr. Larry Grimes officiating. Interment will follow in Halycon Hills Cemetery, Sherrard, W.Va. Military honors will be conducted by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial squad.
