Obituary, Waynesburg Republican 8-1948:
“George L. Grim, 80 years, well known retired farmer of Richhill Township, died Wednesday night, August 25, 1948, at his home at Wind Ridge, after being ill for five months. Mr. Grim was a son of the late Clark and Margaret Milliken Grim, and was born April 28, 1868, at Delphene, Jackson Township, but had spent most of his life in the Wind Ridge community, where he was engaged in farming and stock raising. Surviving are his wife, Martha Courtwright Grim, and the following sons and daughters: James, Cameron Star Route; Mrs. Alice Rutan, at home; Geo. L. Jr., Beech Bottom, W. Va.; Edward and Miss Frances Grim, at home; five grandchildren, and one brother, John, of McGrew, Nebraska. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the home, conducted by Rev. L. W. Peters. Interment was in the Wind Ridge cemetery.”1221

“George L. Grim, aged 80 years, well known retired farmer of Richhill Township, died Wednesday night, August 25, 1948, at 9:30 at his home at Wind Ridge. He had been ill for the past five months.
Mr. Grim was a son of the late Clark and Margaret Milliken Grim, and was born April 20, 1868, at Delphene, Jackson Township. He had spent most of his life in the Wind Ridge community where he followed farming and stock raising until his retirement.
He married Martha Courtwright, who survives with the following sons and daughters: James Grim, Cameron Star Route; Mrs. Alice Rutan, at home; George L. Grim, Jr., Beech Bottom, W. Va.; Edward and Miss Frances Grim, at home. He also leaves five grandchildren, and one brother, John Grim, of McGrew, Nebraska.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August the twenty-eighth nineteen hundred forty-eight at two o’clock, in the late residence.
