Elizabeth lived in Holbrook at the time of her mother’s death in 19561224 and in Waynesburg in 1972 at the time of her brother Harry’s death.107
Obituary:
“Mrs. Elizabeth S. Behm, of Holbrook, died in the home of her sister, Mrs. Edyth Smith, of 284 East Greene Street, Waynesburg, at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, 1972. Death came after an illness of several years.
She was born in the Richhill Township community of McCracken, the daughter of the late Peter and Bertha Courtwright Staggers. She was the widow of the late John E. Behm, who died in 1953.
Mrs. Behm taught for many years in both Richhill and Center Townships. She was a member of the Holbrook Christian Church.
Surviving are two brothers, Everett Staggers, of Sycamore, and Elmer Staggers, of West Finley, RD 2; and three sisters: Jesse Tilton, of Cameron W. Va., RD; Edyth Smith, of Waynesburg, and Mrs. Evelyn Stewart, of Waynesburg, RD 2.
Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.
Funeral services were held Friday with burial in Wind Ridge Cemetery.”231
