“Mrs. Grace Courtright [sic], 65, of 454 Bonar Avenue, Waynesburg, died unexpectedly at 10:50 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 1965, in Greene County Memorial Hospital.
She was born August 2, 1889, in Greene County, a daughter of Peter and Bertha Courtwright Staggers. She married Arett L. Courtright, who survives.
Mrs. Courtright taught school in Richhill and Gray townships for 32 years, retiring in 1961. She was a resident of Waynesburg the last four years and a member of the First Baptist Church of Waynesburg.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are one son, Donald S. Courtright, of Delmont; four brothers, LeMoyne Staggers and Elmer Staggers, both of WInd Ridge, Harry Staggers, of Graysville, and Everett Staggers of Cameron Star Route, Waynesburg; four sisters, Mrs. Seth Tilton and Mrs. Edith Smith, both of Waynesburg; Mrs. Elizabeth Behm of Holbrook and Mrs. Edward Stewart of Wind Ridge and two grandchildren.
One sister is deceased.
Funeral services were held June 29, 1965, with burial in Wind Ridge Cemetery.”188
