Obituary:
“Paul W. Huffman Dead at 56
Waynesburg--Paul W. Huffman, 56, of R.D. 1 Waynesburg died at 6 p.m. Sep 3, 1980 at the West Virginia Emergency Medical Center following an extended illness.
Born September 13, 1923, in Gilmore Township, near Pine Bank, he was a son of the late William A. and Cora Staggers Huffman.
He is survived by his wife Donna S. Huffman.
He spent all of his life in the Waynesburg area where he was a member of the First Baptist Church and the church Board of Trustees.
He graduated from Waynesburg High School in 1942, and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He retired from the United States Army after serving 33 years as an Administrative Supply Technician of the 110th Infantry Company C. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard and was an assistant maintenance manager with P?DOT for several years. He refinished furniture as a hobby.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sons, Kurtis at home, two daughters, Pamela Huffman of Dallas, Texas, and Mrs. Jack “Cynthia” Gillogly, of Graysville; a brother Arthur Huffman, Waynesburg; and two sisters, Mrs. Esther Smith of Waynesburg, and Mrs. Charles “Eleanor” Carpenter of Pine Bank. He was preceded in death by a son Kirby and a brother Wilbur.”
189“Huffman--Friends of Paul W. Huffman, 56, of RD 1 Waynesburg, died Wed., Sept. 3, 1980, will be received at the Glise E. Mariner and Samuel A. Milliken Funeral Home from 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Friday, and until 11 A.M.. Saturday, Sept. 6, the hour of service in the funeral home. Burial will be at the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Bluff, with Dr. Stewart Johnson officiation. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that friends donate to the Greene County Unit of the American Cancer Society.”
