Obituary:
“J. Wilbur Huffman
J. WIlbur Huffman, 49, of Holbrook Star Route, died at 1:30 P.M. Friday, September 25, 1959, while working on a highway construction job near Speers.
Mr. Huffman, who was employed as an engineer by the State Highway Department, died almost instantly of a heart attack.
He was a son of William A. Huffman of Pine Bank and the late Cora Staggers Huffman and was born August 19, 1910, at Waynesburg. He resided most of his life in Jackson Township and was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church.
Mr. Huffman, who graduated from Waynesburg High School in 1930, was in the highway construction business all his adult life.
Surviving besides his father, are his wife, Cecile Sapp Huffman, who he married December 19, 1931, one daughter, Cora Huffman of Bay Village, Ohio; one son, Jay, at home; two sisters, Esther, wife of Edward Smith, of Waynesburg and Eleanor, wife of Charles S. Carpenter, of Pine Bank; and two brothers, Arthur and Paul Huffman both of Waynesburg.”
