“Russell Noel Staggers -
Waynesburg Area Man Retired from Carnegie Natural Gas Co.
Russell Noel Staggers, 75, of Waynesburg, RD 2, died at 12:45 A.M. Tuesday, November 17, 1992, in his home.
Born May 10, 1917, in Bristoria, he was a son of Arthur and Mildred Whipkey Staggers.
Mr. Staggers lived his entire life in Greene County and was affiliated with Oak View United Methodist church.
He worked for Carnegie Natural Gas Co., for 28 years, retiring in 1973.
On August 19, 1940, he married Jeannette Gillogly Staggers, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Delbert Dianne Jones of Waynesburg, RD 4; two sons, Larry Staggers of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and Lanny Staggers of Charleroi RD 2,; six grandchildren, Ronald Lee Staggers, Brett Staggers, Stacey Staggers, Brian Jones, Bethann Sari and Kena Ward; four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Eleanor (Kate) Murdock of Waynesburg RD 5, Mrs. Gene (Arlis) Mankey of Mt. Morris Star Route, Waynesburg; Mrs. Marie Benson of San Bernardino, Calif, and Mrs. Ferne Haught of Whittaker, Calif.
Deceased are a sister, Mrs. Gay Smith, and a brother, Allen Staggers.
