Benny Irwin Staggers

Benny Irwin Staggers, age 68, of Waynesburg, Pa. died Saturday September 7, 2017 in Waynesburg Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Staggers was born October 24, 1948 in West Finley, Pa., the son of the late Milo and Cleo Allum Staggers.

He worked as a construction worker until he was no longer able.

Mr. Staggers is survived by 2 sons; Scott Staggers (Jennifer), of Spraggs and Steven L. Staggers, of Waynesburg; 2 step daughters, Missy Boone (Ken), and Wendy Acklin (Josh) both of Washington, and 2 step sons, Bill Roe (Letitia Lynne) and Travis Roe, also of Washington, and several grandchildren.

His wife, Betty is deceased.

No services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lusaka Funeral Home Inc.

Benny Irwin "Ben" Staggers, 68, of Waynesburg, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017, in Waynesburg Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born October 24, 1948, in West Finley, a son of the late Milo and Cleo Allum Staggers.

On June 26, 1993, he married the love of his life, Betty, who passed away in 2001.

Mr. Staggers worked for many years at Washington Arbors. He began his career as the head of maintenance and was promoted to manager several years before retiring.

He enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers, listening to Willie Nelson and watching John Wayne movies.
Surviving are two sons, Scott Staggers (Jennifer) of Spraggs and Steven Staggers of Waynesburg; two stepdaughters, Melissa Boone (Ken) of Washington and Wendy (Josh) Ackman of Carnegie; two stepsons, Bill Roe (Lynne) of North Carolina and Travis Roe of Washington; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Deceased are two granddaughters, Maria Frabell and Tessa Roe.

Waynesburg Health and Rehabilitation Center and Amedisys Hospice provided him with wonderful care.

Services are private and handled by Lesako Funeral Home Inc., Carmichaels.
